I am excited to have all of your children for their weekly library class. My name is Melissa Clapprood and this is my third year as a Library Media Specialist in Smithfield.  Prior to this, I was a fourth grade teacher at both McCabe and LaPerche for 12 years.  

This year I plan to engage the students in lessons about the structure and purpose of the library, information seeking and research skills, as well as integrate technology into their learning.
